Starting in July 2018, Immunisation Clinics will be held at Milngavie Clinic. The Clinics are organised according to the formal Health Baord recall system. Appointments are sent by post from the Health Board.
Two new Sisters join our Practice
Advance Nurse Practitioner – Sister Phyllis Littlejohn
We are delighted to announce that Sister Littlejohn will be joining us from Monday 11 June 2018 and Sister Lesley Christie will joining us from Thursday 14 June 2018.
Sister Littlejohn is a Nurse Practitioner which means she has enhanced skills in clinical assessment and diagnosis, and can prescribe medication for you, if she feels this is appropriate.

Sister Lesley Christie’s duties will including dressings, injections, and ear syringing.
"PHARMACY FIRST" RUN BY PHARMACIES
This new service is for patients with uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women aged 16-65 years and impetigo for those aged >2. The Pharmacist may offer advice, NHS treatment (free) or referral, as appropriate. Pharmacies in Milngavie offering this service are Graeme's Pharmacy (956 1710) and Gordon's Pharmacy (956 5235).
Please note that every Tuesday, the Surgery will be closed for training purposes between 12 noon and 1.30 pm.
New Scottish Cervical Screening Campaign
A new campaign has been developed to grab the attention of young women aged 25-35, and start breaking down some barriers to attending.

SELF CHECK-IN SCREEN
Why not bypass the queue and check yourself in for your appointment when you come to the surgery? The check in screen is situated in the waiting room and is easy to use.
During the month of June 2018 - 59 appointments were not kept at this Practice.
PLEASE be thoughtful and let us know if you cannot attend as this will allow us to offer the appointment to another patient.
